I love tennis. I love the sound of a tennis ball when it pops off the racquet. I love the sight of people playing tennis and enjoying this incredible game and the competition and camaraderie that comes along with it. I love the memories of playing tennis with my brothers, my father, my friends and of course, the wall. I feel at home on a tennis court.
Coaching gives me a great sense of fulfillment. Helping others to improve their skills, both physical and mental, to increase their knowledge of the game and to see them walk away from one of my lessons or clinics with a great sense of pride in their efforts and a new enthusiasm for the game of tennis and their next match is wonderful.
I have truly dedicated myself to my vocation as a USPTA Certified Tennis Professional. I am constantly learning how to be a better coach. Much of that happens on court with my students year after year. I also attend both the Intermountain Region and Worldwide USPTA and USTA Conferences each year to keep me apprised of new technologies, techniques and strategies in tennis and to raise my profile with other renowned coaches around the country and the world. These conferences never fail to give me new insights into the game, player assessment and mental toughness coaching.
I offer tennis instruction in Durango for all skill levels and for every age of player from 4 years old to 90+… after all, tennis is the sport for a lifetime! Whether you are brand new to tennis or returning to tennis after many years away, or if you play tennis daily or weekly, I want to help you learn and improve. Please come out and try one of my group clinics or take a private lesson with me to see how much fun tennis can be.
